Think about what really happens when you go to work. You are not just earning money. You are giving away hours of your life. An hour worked today is gone forever. You cannot get it back. You can leave them in government-issued money whose supply keeps growing. More money is created, year after year. When that leads to higher prices, the money you saved buys less. Think about what that really means. You did the work. You gave away the hours. You made the sacrifice to save.
